Ill Health Retirement

If you are unable to work because of serious ill-health or injury ...

In the opinion of the Company and the Trustee, based on satisfactory medical evidence, if you are incapable of carrying on your occupation because of permanent ill-health or incapacity, you may be granted an immediate pension.

If your health improves before Normal Pension Date, the Trustee can review the position and in some circumstances this could lead to your pension being withdrawn, suspended or reduced.

If you are suffering serious ill health which limits your life expectancy to less than 12 months, then further options may be available to you. Please contact the Pensions Administration Team to find out more.
