Our Trustee Board is made up of nine Trustee Directors; three are appointed by Barclays, three are Member Nominated Trustee Directors and three are considered ‘independent’ (meaning they have no connection to the UKRF and can bring an impartial perspective to the board).
These nine people are responsible for running the UKRF effectively and in the interests of all members, so it’s important that we have the right people with the right skills and experience for the job. It’s also our aim that the Board reflects the diverse nature of our membership.
In the last year we’ve had two significant Board changes:

Introducing Eileen Haughey as Chair of the Trustee Board
Eileen took over the role of Chair from Peter Goshawk in January 2023. Before this she’d been working with the UKRF as an independent Trustee Director since July 2020. Eileen has a background working in corporate finance and tax. She has also been a partner at both Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. As well as many years of experience working with other large UK pension schemes, like the BT Pension Scheme and the BBC Pension Scheme, Eileen is accredited as a professional trustee by the Pensions Management Institute.

Meet Debbie Rees
Debbie is our new Member Nominated Trustee Director and joined us following a selection process held during 2022. You can read more about Debbie in UKRF Trustee Board.
