Changes to the Trustee Board
The Trustee Board is responsible for running the UKRF, including governance, investment and administration. Our Trustee Board is made up of nine Trustee Directors, including three member nominated directors (MNDs).
In June 2022 we started the process of selecting a new MND as our Chair, Peter Goshawk, was approaching the end of his term of office. From 1 January 2023, the UKRF has a new Chair, Eileen Haughey who joined the Trustee Board in July 2020 and has worked closely with Peter to ensure a smooth transition.
Peter was an MND and in June 2022 we started the process of selecting a replacement MND. Our new MND is Debbie Rees. She joined the Trustee Board on 1 January 2023 following a comprehensive MND selection process. 78 members put themselves forward for selection as an MND. Six nominees were selected to be interviewed by a panel consisting of existing Trustee Directors, members of the Trustee executive team and Barclays employees who are also UKRF members. In addition to Debbie’s appointment, two candidates were placed in a pool, to be called upon in the event of a vacancy for an MND in the next two years.
The standard of candidates applying to become an MND was exceptionally high, and the Trustee would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply.
