Investment principles and policies
This section of the website has lots of information for members about the principles and policies the Trustee has put in place for investing the UKRF assets.
Building up a pension in the UKRF involves a long-term commitment. The Trustee believes its responsible investment approach and its focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues offers the best opportunity for the long-term growth of the URKF’s assets.
Responsible investment is an approach that aims to manage risk and achieve good outcomes for UKRF members by the Trustee adopting certain principles, including:
- Taking a broad view of the long-term effect of Trustee investment decisions;
- Using the Trustee’s influence and its voting rights, engaging directly with the UKRF fund managers, and the organisations where they invest; and
- Investing the URKF assets with a focus on ESG matters.
